Which providers accept assignment of benefits?
All providers accept MCI as claims manager and accept our guarantee of payment. It is important to say that the more claims we have, the better relations we have with providers and therefore better contracts and discounts.
How do you set the price list tor physicians
MCI system calculates an average of the price per specialty. These specialties are compared and fixed by the physicians. Also, we try to have an up to date price list of each medical center in order to have the most accurate costs possible.
What is the guarantee on-line system (GOS)?
We have created an application that clincs will use and that will be connected to MCI database. So, the clinic will send a query to the insurer requesting a guarantee. When the insurer confirms that the patient is covered, he sends the acceptance by clicking ‘yes’. Afterwardas the clinci receives the acceptance and issues the guarantee. This system speeds up the process and reduces the people involved in the process.
What is the process for someone who wants to follow a private treatment?
If someone from out of Spain wants to use MCI to follow a medical treatment, he/she wolud just have to get in contact with us. Afterwards, MCI would be in charge of transport, accommodation in the clinic depending of the treatment to follow, and the disposal of the best doctors. MCI would monitor the evolution during post-operative repatriating the patient once is recovered.
How do you track and communicate claim information to clients?
Through our website, with a username and password, every client could track their cases. Our application also allows creating your own reports depending on info needed or checking paid cases, etc. Also, the client can check comments from our staff advising about possible problems during case management and original documents needed.
Can MCI assist with translation of medical files, records, and related correspondence between Spanish and English? Is this service at an additional fee?
MCI, through a fixed fee, offers translation services of medical files and related correspondence on both Spanish and English as well as in many other languages. Fee will depend on the volume of work and length of texts for translation.
